Happy Fitness Friday! #FitnessFriday

Last weekend I participated in my first 5k ever, the Step Up For Stefanie 5k on OSU's campus. What an experience! I wasn't very fast, but I ran the entire thing finishing in the middle of the pack and averaging a 14 minute mile. I'll take it for my first run ever. My training was the T25 Team Beachbody exercise series and it definitely prepared me well for the run.

So, I've signed up for two more runs! Not sure if I wasn't yet down from my runner's high or if I really think I'm a runner now. But it's mostly likely because I really enjoyed the energy of the event. So many great people getting together for a great cause. And it's really good exercise.

  • In October I'll be participating in the Run Like a Girl Columbus 5k - heck you get a bottle of Pinot Grigio when you finish! I'll run for vino! 
  • In November I'll be participating in the OSU 4 Miler - I get to finish on the 50 yard line of the Horseshoe with my finish on the big screen!

In these upcoming runs maybe I'll improve my mile time, maybe I won't but like the someeecards says - I still run!
